Matthew A. Krouse, DPM, is a skilled board-certified podiatrist serving patients at Advanced Foot and Ankle Specialists in Elgin, Elk Grove, Huntley, and the Montclare neighborhood of Chicago.
A native of the Chicagoland area, Dr. Krouse completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University and earned his doctoral degree from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois.
He completed his post-graduate residency training at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital Chicago, where he served as chief resident during his third year.
While in residency, Dr. Krouse was exposed to all medical and surgical aspects of foot and ankle care with extensive specialized training in wound care, trauma, complex reconstructions, limb salvage, Ilizarov external fixation, peripheral nerve surgery, and advanced plastic surgery techniques.
He is board-qualified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. Dr. Krouse is certified in the STAR total ankle replacement surgery.
He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing, playing tennis, and traveling when not working. Dr. Krouse is also an avid sports fan.
